Sabattis Scout Reservation, a premier Boy Scout camp located in the Adirondack Park, is looking for qualified staff members for the 2010 summer camp season. Are you one of the people for whom we’re looking?
Sabattis Scout Reservation employs both men and women. We currently have positions open in all program areas. Staff members must be 15, and all area directors must be 18. There are position openings for 21 year olds or older. Counselors in Training (CITs) must be 14. Lifeguards must be 17. We hire creative, energetic, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals. Experience in Boy Scouting is not necessary, but helpful.
Sabattis is located on Low’s Lake, in between Tupper Lake and Long Lake. It is in a remote location, which boasts five ponds and two mountains besides Low’s Lake. We served over 1300 youth last summer, and are proud to be Nationally Accredited by the Boy Scouts of America as well as the New York State Department of Health.
Staff members must be willing and able to spend eight weeks in a remote location and be physically able to perform many duties. Hiking, mountain biking, shooting sports, climbing, canoeing, kayaking and sailing are just a few of the program offerings that make us popular. Our campers come from all over New York State, as well as from Vermont, Pennsylvania and Virginia to name a few.
Camp staff is a challenging and rewarding experience. We boast that our staff has more fun than the campers!
